Salman Khan’s ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ may have drawn polarized reviews from fans and critics, but the film set a record for the Bollywood entertainer. According to Khan and the producers Zee, the film was watched 4.2 million times on the first day. Although the details of the viewers’ record have yet to be revealed, the film was released in more than 40 countries, along with a theatrical release for certain markets including the UAE, while on Zee5’s pay-per-view service ZeePlex is broadcast in India. Khan himself went to his social media to celebrate the ‘record’, while wishing his fans on Eid Al Fitr. “Wish ev1 by Happy Eid. Thank you so much for the wonderful return by making Radhe the most watched movie on day 1. The film industry would not survive without your love. Thank you [sic], ”Khan posted on Instagram. ‘Radhe’ also plays Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff in the pottery of Bollywood who sees Khan playing a policeman who wants to destroy a drug connection. Actor-director-choreographer Prabhu Deva opened the film to mixed reviews, and many turned to social media to beat the project.
The IMDB movie database site received a 2.1 rating for ‘Radhe’, with one of the best user reviews on the site that reads: ‘… Hard to believe why anyone would make such a nonsensical piece of shit … 10 minutes of the movie and you will start to feel a little pain in your head. ‘ Twitter was also filled with user reviews and memes, with user Nikhil posting: “Watched #Radhe on TV. God thank God that theaters are closed. Money saved is money earned. ” Jay Gor reports: “Urgently needed: paracetamol. #Radhe looked wrong ” Haider Ali Khan said: “#SalmanKhan running #BeingHuman to help people could have been more helpful and humane by not releasing #Radhe, the unsolicited man.” Shibham Das added: “I wasted 2 hours of my life successfully. The only positive thing is #Radhe is ‘Nothing’. ” In defense, not all reviews are so cruel, with several fans of Khan praising his performance and Hooda’s acting chops, playing a villain in the film.
