Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly in talks with award-winning director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a new love story and will likely collaborate again after their exuberant love tragedy ‘Devdas’ in 2002. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the two are in talks for a new film entitled ‘Izhaar’. It is described as an intercultural romance of the man who travels from India to Norway to impress his wife love. ” Izhaar ‘was a film that Bhansali wanted to do with SRK about four years ago. It’s a love story that revolves around this couple – an Indian man and a Norwegian girl. It is based on the true story of the man who drove all the way to Norway for love. Bhansali wanted to process it into a screenplay and reworked the screenplay for SRK investigation. Now it remains to be seen whether Shah Rukh will turn it green this time, ‘a source told Bollywoood Hungama. Khan was last seen in the film ‘Zero’ in 2018 with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma and is currently working on director Siddharth Anand’s ambitious film ‘Pathan’, which was partly shot in Dubai.
In the last two years, Khan has slowed down considerably on the work front and it seems to take time before he agrees to films. There were reports that he would soon be working with Rajkumar Hirani, but no official announcements were made on the front. Bhansali and Khan are familiar with each other’s work styles. In the spectacular ‘Devdas’, Bhansali portrayed Khan as a loving nobility who gets out of control when he loses the love of his life, played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Bhansali is known for its bigger heroes, decadent set designs and exaggerated emotions.
