Hadramaut, August 17, 2020 — The UAE, through its humanitarian arm, the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, is offering free medical services to residents of remote villages and areas in Hadramaut and adjacent regions through its mobile clinic project. The ERC’s mobile clinic in Al Ghalila, Mukalla district, has admitted 60 patients in the past two days, and its mobile clinics have provided services six days a week in various areas of Hadramaut in 2020.
The project’s medical director said the mobile clinics also offer free medicines to patients, especially those suffering from common diseases such as acute watery diarrhea, skin diseases and malnutrition. He added that there was a lack of basic health services in remote areas, so the project was launched to relieve the burden on the inhabitants of these areas, and noted that they would continue their field visits in various regions where hospitals and medical staff are lacking. Residents thanked the UAE and praised the EFFORTS of the ERC, especially for launching the project.
